Hello there and welcome to my site. My name is Jess, I'm a local Spokane photographer specializing in on location maternity, newborn, family, and high school senior photography.
 

I'm a self-taught photographer, although I've had a natural artistic ability my whole life and enjoy painting, drawing and restoring/repurposing furniture. I love hiking and being outdoors, a break from the digital world and screens feeds my soul when I'm out enjoying nature. 

I also work full time for an animal shelter as a "feline technician" and am extremely passionate about animal care. rescue and adoption. 

My love for the photography field came from my mom who gave me her 35mm Canon AE-1 camera when I was in middle school. I took a black and white film class and was hooked. From there I have been developing and growing my technical skills and my style.
 

Approaching a sitting I try to put myself into my client's perspective. Remembering this session isn't just a photo shoot, it's a memory and these portraits will last a lifetime. 

I also have a wonderful boyfriend of twenty years (who doubles as a great assistant on occasion) and have two kitties who are my fur babies.
