Let me start off by saying technology and social media are not my forte. I'm not one of those people who are always glued to their phone texting and ignoring the beauty of the world around them. I think it's incredibly rude to try to have a conversation with someone as their eyes glow blue from the screen inches from their face and every other word out of their mouth is "yeah" "uh huh". I despise paying good money to go to a concert (I'm short) and have a sea of people try to record videos and take pictures in front of me. I mean at least turn your damn flash off, it's not going to illuminate the massive stage 100 ft away from you. That said I finally broke down and got my first smartphone a year ago, and well I have to admit, it has made my life a lot easier. I'm trying to get past my reservations as I know every photographer has to stay current and promote their work. I would rather just be in the field doing what I love then sitting on a computer. Unfortunately I can't pay anyone to do that for me yet, so I will do my best to get myself out of my comfort zone and blog, tweet, pin, post and...instagram? Okay, end first blog post and or rant.
